The Defecrusader

It seems that the Defecrusader is using the upstairs bathroom at work again.

He takes magazines out of the bathroom that he doesn't like, and he throws them away. They aren't his magazines (they aren't mine either), and he doesn't even work upstairs. His destructive impulses are politically motivated, of course. Some people identify themselves so strongly with their chosen political ideology that, when confronted by differing viewpoints, they feel threatened.

Oh well. At least he doesn't tear the scary magazines into little pieces and flush them down the toilet like he used to.

Campaign Vehicles

I got this in an e-mail this morning, and it got me thinking... What would McCain's campaign vehicle look like? Here's what I came up with:

OK, so the world's economy is in a tailspin. Uncertainty and Fear reign. Perhaps the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are saddling up. Who knows?

What better time to take on some huge debt?

Today we refinanced our mortgage and pulled out some extra dough for some home improvements. I don't know why my hand wanted to represent it with this image, but who cares? I like it.

Shell Shocked

Here's some light bedtime reading for you. It made me want to climb back in my shell last night.

There's a bun in the oven...and he or she is due September 23rd.

Remote Control

Some days there is no volition. It may not be your choice, but then again, it may ultimately be.

10 days into the bearding process, and it's getting a little itchy.

I was driving on the freeway this afternoon, and I was scratching my neck in what I realized was a pretty doglike manner. So, I started thinking of drawing myself as a dog (much like what you see here) and I sort of retreated into my head and didn't realize that I was heading into a tight curve where the posted speed limit is 25mph(the transition from the 2 north to the 134 west in Glendale, if you're familiar with it, or if you want to look it up). I was probably going about 70mph at the time and came VERY CLOSE to skidding off the road and most likely rolling the car! Whoopsy-daisy! That would have been hard to explain (if I lived, that is).

Maybe I'll take the bike tomorrow.

I'm Such a Busybody

Here at work they recently installed new coffeemakers that are extremely easy to operate. ANYONE could do it. They even posted clear instructions on how to operate the machines in plain sight. Yet, almost every time I walk in the upstairs kitchen to get a cup of coffee, BOTH pots (Regular and Strong-- I won't acknowledge the existence of Decaf) are empty. I can almost understand that happening in the late, late afternoon, but it happens in the morning, too.

I don't get it. Why not take a little time to be considerate? Why enrage your coworkers? Why risk incurring the brute hatred of the caffeine-deprived? WHY???

So, I printed this out and put it up in the kitchen today. Feel free to print one out for your own workplace, if needed. Just let me know, won't you?

Maybe it's not this bad, but I do feel a bit queasy. Also, a bit grumpy.
