This is about those times when you're on the phone with someone, and they are doing something like looking up information on a computer, and they don't put you on hold, but they are no longer speaking, so you can hear them breathing and muttering to themselves-- and it's right in your ear. It's a little more intimate than I care to be with most people.

I like to use speakerphone for those interminable moments, but that only works if I am at work
