This Post-it has been on my desk for awhile. Thought I'd share it.

Eye Don't Know

I got an E-mail from a parrot-finder group that I had registered Taffy's information with last month. They said that a cockatiel turned up at a shelter down in Orange County. Judging by the photo, it could have been Taffy, but it seemed like a long way for him to fly because the shelter is 40 miles from our house. But, since that works out to less than 1 mile per day, it seemed possible. So, I made the drive, and it turned out not to be him.

This drawing has nothing to do with it. I think.

Cheetah

You know that Chimpanzee "Cheetah" who was Tarzan's pal? Well, he just turned 75 and there was a picture of him celebrating his big day wearing a SpongeBob birthday hat. (Poor miserable creature). So, we're sending him a little card and this is what I did. It hasn't been approved yet, though. HOOH!!!

I'm Horrible

I took an online personality test (thanks Becky!), and found out how horrible I am. You can find out how horrible you are, too.

In fact, I'm so horrible that I didn't even bother to draw you a picture today!

Global Personality Test Results
Stability (26%) low which suggests you are very worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.
Orderliness (36%) moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.
Extraversion (36%) moderately low which suggests you are reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.

Playful Ghost

One of Cooper's toys started playing music when no one was even in the same room with it. It wouldn't be the first time we've had "ghostly activity" here. The house is 82 years old, and we're about 50 yards from a 300 acre cemetery. Also, it's very windy tonight...apparently that can stir things up, too.

Clone!

When I'm out and about (riding my bike to work, for instance) I almost always see one of these old ladies shuffling down the sidewalk. They invariably share these specific traits: Hands clasped behind their backs; Little, unbuttoned cardigan sweaters; Floral print dresses; Hair wound up into tight buns; Faces contorted into hateful, surly, pinched masks.

Rather peculiar...

Oral/Aural

I was passing by the kitchen at work, and I saw someone drinking from a cup, and in that split second I thought to myself, "Everyone I see in the kitchen will be ingesting something," and then the next person I saw was talking on a cell phone and I realized that his ear was ingesting sound.

Lunch with the Young 'Un

This is how it was at lunch today. I'm old and tired, and Cooper is young and full of life.

Provider

It's pretty satisfying, but you can't take all the credit...
