Frankenfoods

I read a really disturbing article on Cryptogon.com this morning about genetically modified (GM) foods. The original article appears at Seedsofdeception.com

I'd recommend reading the whole thing (it's not that long). And, if you don't have time to read it, but you do think that GM foods are potentially dangerous, then you can download a Pocket Non-GMO Shopping Guide from the Institute for Responsible Technology here.

Wow, scary stuff, 'specially since I eat a lot of that stuff with genetically modified crap in it. I was sad that the list didn't include pet food. Poops.

I saw a documentary called 'The Future of Food'. It basically explains the risks of GM food. One scary thing not covered by the linked article is that the human engineered genetic sequences that make GM food GM food are patentable.

So that means our nation's food supply is now not just the business of farmers but also politicians and lawyers. That's a scary reality. The power hungry non-producers in our society now have even more control over people's lives.

I saw that movie too (the one Adam T. is referencing) and if you're interested in the subject, I suggest putting it on your netflix list. Although a bit dry, it is a real eye opener!
