Old Yeller
Hey Jerk, maybe you shouldn't yell out your kitchen window at people you don't know. It's rude! I don't care why you did it-- maybe you were even in the right...I'll give you that...but, we live in a civilized society, don't we? Maybe you should have tried a different approach! Maybe you should think about your actions before you cross a stranger. Before you cross a stranger while you're standing in your soft, vulnerable kitchen! I know exactly where to find it-- even at 3am when you're sound asleep...sawing logs...dreaming your manly dreams. Your manly dreams about how you are in control. You're the King of your Castle! Ha ha, but you have no moat!!!! You DON'T HAVE A MOAT!!!!!!
(Author's Note: This is merely a creative writing exercise. Don't get the wrong idea about your humble bloggin' pal. He wouldn't do anything untoward. He's such a reasonable fellow!)

Ogogogogog!!!
I know, I know-- I'm the worst person in the world for not posting more often and not telling you about the things that occur in my little pond. I didn't tell you about finding $180 on the street in front of my house a few weeks ago. I didn't tell you that our house is for sale and that we might be moving soon (potential buyer on the line) and that the weather has been odd and that meow meow wobble wobble waffle FAST! This hurts me more than it hurts you. I'll...

A Loud Sounding
(These are supposed to be cubicles).
My original intention in doing this drawing was to depict how funny REALLY LOUD SNEEZES sound when taken out of context. Like, if you don't think about it as being a sneeze, then it just sounds like some horrible creature bellowing or something. Ha ha!
Then, a few minutes ago, I realized that the drawing sort of reminded me of the Minotaur in the Labyrinth that Theseus had to face. Now, it isn't so funny.

Worry Rays
I'm not totally convinced, but I've heard that worrying about bad things doesn't actually prevent them from happening.
Update: A good and trusted source informs me that once upon a time, on the little paper tab-thing on the end of a teabag, she read these words:
"Don't worry. Only fools worry."
Case closed.

Gingerly
We have two little dogs. They each weigh in at about 15 lbs (7 kilos, or so). So, walking around in our house is different than it once was. It seems like the little guys are constantly underfoot, and if any one of us were to stride around at a normal clip, dogs would go flying hither and yon. So, now we shuffle around and shimmy and dodge. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just the reality of the situation.

A Bird
I know, it's been awhile. I apologize for that. It happens from time to time, though. Things get busy at work, at home, the creative juices flow a little more slowly-- challenges arise. It's all right. I'm still here, and you're still here. This will work out fine!
So, how have you been? I hope you've been doing well.

Moth
Cooper and I like to go outside and look for bugs. It's one of his favorite things to do. So, whenever we find an inchworm, we keep it in his bug house thing, and give it leaves to eat and after awhile it turns into a cocoon and eventually a moth. It's always a big event when we release a moth.
So, a couple mornings ago, I discovered that a moth had emerged during the night. So, I got Cooper, and we proceeded to go outside and open the door of the bug house thing and the moth flew out and landed on something, and we admired the markings on its wings and after a minute, it flew over to some plant or another, and we watched it sit on a leaf and after a minute or so, it took off again, and a mockingbird snatched it out of the air and flew away.
We were stunned for a second, and just stared at each other. I didn't know how Cooper would react, but he took it in stride. I think it affected me more than it did him. Anyway, that's what inspired this drawing. Have a nice weekend.
Oh, and always release your moths at night-- that's the lesson. Well, it's ONE of the lessons you can take away from this...
